JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for running an inside or drive-through teller window, providing paying and receiving transaction services to customers with accuracy, professionalism and a high level of service


JOB DUTIES INCLUDE (but are not limited to):

Responsible for adhering to and complying with all Bank policies and procedures, all applicable federal and state laws and regulatory guidance governing financial institutions, including, but not limited to, Federal Deposit Insurance Improvement Act (FDICIA), FACT Act, Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), USA Patriot Act, Fair Lending, and Unfair Deceptive and Abusive Acts and Practices (UDAAP)

Receives and processes deposits, withdrawals and loan payments from customers; validates amounts and ensures that customers have sufficient funds in their account(s) to cover withdrawals

Cashes checks, issues bank checks, issues VISA and MasterCard cash advances as approved, redeems savings bonds, and posts mail transactions as needed

Balances all daily work; reconciles errors in a timely manner

Solicits business from new and existing customers; cross sells Bank accounts and services

Places holds on customer accounts in accordance with Bank policy and procedure

Assists customers with safety deposit box requests

Orders cash from vault teller as office needs dictate and maintains a record of all vault currency ordered, received and disbursed

Serves as Vault Teller, as needed

Serves as platform teammate, as needed

Counsels new and existing customers in regard to the Bank's retail accounts; provides solutions for the customer to best meet his/her needs

Responds to customer inquiries; researches problems

May open and file maintain new accounts; provide solutions through additional Bank services

May open, close, add to or make withdrawals from existing accounts

May travel to other offices in Roving CSS I, II capacity or when assistance is needed

Looks for opportunities to identify needs and recommends Bank products and services, resulting in a win-win outcome that benefits both the Bank and the internal and external customer; keeps up to date on changes in products and services through self-education and training

Responsible for other duties, responsibilities, and special projects as assigned by the Banking Center Manager, Market Manager, or Retail Operations Manager



Preferred: A High School diploma or the equivalent

Acceptable: A High School diploma or the equivalent

Excellent customer service that has been demonstrated and delivered on a consistent basis, as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) is critical for this position

Strong organizational and task management skills with the ability to work independently, multi-task and manage deadlines is required

Must be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and efficient with the ability to use independent judgment

Previous work in a job involving extensive cash handling and customer contact is required

Excellent computer skills are required, to include MS Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel)

Must be fluent in the English language (to include reading, writing, speaking and comprehension)
